Tools: Table saw, circular saw, belt sander
The goal of this project was to build a big dining table that would comfortably seat 10 people, and age well over time.
I built this table using douglas fir – 2×8’s for the top, 2×4’s for the frame and 4×4’s for the legs. All joinery was done with pocket-holes, and the legs were attached with special hardware so they can be taken off during moving or storage.
This was a really fun project that challenged me to try new things, resulting in a piece that we use daily and makes me smile.
